MY AUGUST SETUP – How to choose a theme for a month?

I’ve already talk about the ‘MONTHLY SETUP’ here. Now I’d like to show you, how to choose a topic/theme for a month.

It is not really useful, but absolutely a good fun. I choose a topic for every month, and figure out a whole design, with styled letters, main colours, decorations etc. Yes, I have a lot of time to thinking about unnecessary things. But, hey, repeat: it’s fun.😁

Here is my august to show you what is I am thinking about:

My august theme is ‘SUMMER FUN’.  So I put here everything I love in summer: summer fruits, water, beach stuffs, ice-creams, bright colours and of course a lot of sunshine.

My front page is the August MAIN PLANNER; here I show everything item, I use for this month:

I made it with watercolour and a black and a white pen. Decorate with super-slim washi-tapes and nail art effect tapes. Yes, you should be creative and you can use anything! Anything what looks good and fit for your mood or your monthly topic.

And this is one of my favourite quotes, which is absolute fits here.

Next page is for post-its and notes, with two slice of watermelon in the middle. Watercolour again, with black and white ink pen. Some washi-tape on the top and the bottom.

Next one is my flip-out BUDGET page. With a watercolour ice-cream quote and some washi-tapes. 

August memories page have a pineapple in the middle.

SUNSHINES and RAINS are my gratitude and sadness pages. I write a lot on these, that is why it needs just a few decorations. Watercolour background for the titles and some washi- and effect tape on the sides.

And the megatracker with a summer sunset and a boat. And of course with washi- and effect tapes. I love how they’re shining  in summer light. I choose bright-summer colours for megatracker marks too.

Then comes the weekly/daily spreads. Ever week has an own design with one of the summer things above. First one is with watermelon. Watercolour melon doodles and some effect and holographic tape. And my other favourites: coloured post-its. These are from Tri-Coastal Design, the same as my journal.

Next week is for pineapple, with a pineapple quote too.

Next pages for water and coco. I need a proper quote here, but I can’t choose it yet, so just paint a background and fill it later.

Next week is a citrus-mix. Lemon-slices, oranges, limes with lively, bright summer colours and some green pattern washi-tape.

Last week is for ice-cream, with pastel ice-cream colours, painted ice-cream background and yellow holographic tape.

These are the base for my august, but all of my pages are change and transform a lot till the end of the month. Because these are not art-works, these are pages for use. Let me know, if you want to see these pages again, fill them fully in the end of the month!
